Acts 11:28
(27) And in these days prophets came from Jerusalem to Antioch. (28) Then one of them, named Agabus, stood up and showed by the Spirit that there was going to be a great famine throughout all the world, which also happened in the days of Claudius Caesar. (29) Then the disciples, each according to his ability, determined to send relief to the brethren dwelling in Judea. (30) This they also did, and sent it to the elders by the hands of Barnabas and Saul.
The first century Church had still been in clear remembrance of the Lord Jesus Christ’s life, death and resurrection happenings when the events of these scriptures were taking place.
Agabus was a prophet who could see and hear from heaven by the Spirit of the Lord. There is absolutely no evidence what so ever that would cause a single intelligent soul to believe that prophets of the Lord have not continued to be in every generation until this day. There is not a single shred of evidence that would conclude that prophets should not hear from heaven by the same Spirit that Agabus heard.
It is the prophets’ responsibility to the body of Christ to seek the Lord for the answers to our future and let us be prepared for what is to come.
If our economy fails, it will be because of the rich who have been controlling it for ungodly purposes to satisfy their greed. Why would we not see the Lord answer the proclamations of the apostles and prophets to deal in justice with the evil doers?
The fact remains that we have prophets today just as there were in the early church. The prophets and apostles of this generation are telling of the evils that the rich are committing and how the hand of the Lord will bring justice to the governments of this world. It is time for us to be listening so that we might discern the times we are living in. Only then, can we move and plan accordingly.
Jesus said it this way: “You know how to discern the face of the sky, but you cannot discern the signs of the times.”
In other words, the weather forecast is important but the signs of the times are even more important!
Patrick Holloran is as consumed with the desire to forecast the seasons of the Lord as Agabus of the early church. Why not watch his blog to see what he is prophesying for our future world events?

Good word Wayne…We are following Pat closely…
I am always amazed at the timing of the Lord. He loves us so much it is beyond imagination. He said He would show us things to come and He does. May we have ears to hear what the Spirit is saying to the church and respond with faith and determination to fulfill His plan. As the days get darker we will need all the encouragement and guidance that the Apostles and Prophets can give. If I had to thank God for something it would be, “God so loved… that He gave..”.
What manner of love the Father has bestowed upon us that we should be called the children of God!!
May all His warnings to us become our present actions with Him!
Thank you ! Will pass it on !
