July 18th, 2010 – Arequipa, Peru

Sunday morning started early. Very early. The first church service in the big theater was at 7:30 AM. I preached on the kingdom of God and how much more powerful God’s kingdom is in relationship to the devil’s kingdom. I was feeling lousy from a head cold so I went to another room after preaching but the rest of the team prayed for folks. I conserved my energy for the second service which then started at 10:30 am.

The crowds grew in Arequipa, Peru, filling a theater in the center of the city!

In the second service I preach on the family of God and the people’s inheritance. I spoke to the problems of the city of Arequipa and the destruction of families by both the Roman Catholic church and the Freemasons that are so very strong here. The gospel of power began to break the powers of darkness and we lined hundreds of people of for prayer. Miracles were taking place everywhere. Demons were crying out of people. When I first started praying for folks it seemed that pain and sickness was not going out of them, so I had to really work with faith to see the results that I was wanting to see. I realized that I had gotten use to the miraculous happening so easy that when I got some restraint it really showed itself. I finally broke through that restriction however. It could have been witchcraft going on in the room, as that sort of thing is very prominent here. The Lord healed every one that was prayed for where there was evidence of the healing to be seen.

We went back to the pastor’s mother’s home for lunch and had a pretty good time. I managed to dodge the tuna that was served without anyone noticing, I think. Ha.

We all got a much needed nap. The team prayed for me because it was getting more obvious that I was not running on all cylinders. I preached tonight on the Spirit of Revival. The Spirit of revelation was so strong in the room that the people believed that revival is here now for Arequipa and revival is here to stay. I spoke to them with apostolic authority from Acts 8 when Peter & John went to Samaria where Phillip was performing miracles. I then called for the lost to come and be saved and there were around 30 people who gave their lives to Christ for the very first time! We lined everyone up then and Marco went one way and I went the other way, We had the team stationed in the lobby so that after Marco and I had laid hands of them to receive the Spirit of Revival they went to the lobby and received prayer for the team of their needs.

Praying for the people in Arequipa, Peru

The pastor asked me to come and say good bye to the church. I have never experienced anything like this before. The people all filled the theater again with I bless them and their city apostolically and told them of my great love for them. I blessed the people and the leadership of the church stood behind me on the stage so I turned and blessed the leaders. Then all the people lined up to say good bye to us. Took a long time with a lot of sincere tears that we had to go.

Marco was so wound up that he went out to the lobby and started a revival out there. When I came up to the lobby there were people lying on the floor laughing  uncontrollably all over the place. They would stand up and fall over again. It was a sight to behold. I was told that this kind of thing has never happened in this church before.

I’m quickly typing this and now I’m off to sleep. We have to be in the lobby of the hotel by 6:10 to leave for the airport. We fly to Lima for our last day. I don’t leave until the evening at almost midnight. There are rumors that I may get to meeting with some of the important political figures at the capital tomorrow. So, I’m expecting a busy final day.
