“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Nevertheless you have done well that you shared in my distress. Now you Philippians know also that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church shared with me in the matters of giving and receiving but you only. Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the fruit that abounds to your account. And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” (Phil 4:13 – 15, 17 &19 NKJV)
It is necessary that we continually teach and bring forth revelation of the Spirit in the matters of both giving and receiving. God, with His infinite wisdom, has blessed us with the ability to give so that we might be able to act like Him. “For God so loved the world that He gave . . .”
In so doing, we are set to receive from the treasuries of Heaven and the love from one another, instead of the riches of this world. His Kingdom is more than capable of keeping us in a “well supplied state of living, so much as we continue in love and not foolish pride, greed, or conceit.
Our dependency should always be on Him. We should verbalize it. We should remind ourselves of it. Each time that we are able to give, we should bring this point to the front of our intellectual mind. “I depend upon you Lord. You are my supply. You are the only source of riches that I am desiring!”
Now when it comes to sharing with those who are “out there” on the fields of ministry, there is a partnership of the real Spirit of God in these matters. When we are out plowing, sowing and reaping the harvest, and you support us, you receive the rewards of Heaven as if you were out there also.
This wonderful economy of Heaven is making us abound in every good work. You can rest assured that your offerings and your missionary dollars are being multiplied to your account, through us. We have given our lives for the sake of the gospel, not as an obligation, nor a vocation. Even from the age of 19, as a firefighter, until being truly born-again and entering into spiritual fighting of the fires of Hell in peoples lives. It is in our makeup to give out to the world and we will do so for the rest of our lives. However, we could not do this without supporters, (family) like you. That’s why we are partners.
