Address JOHN G. LAKEPortland, Oregon |
This was a Spokane newspaper article published on Monday,
July 7th, 1924. It was concerning the tent revival meetings being held in
Spokane by Rev. John G. Lake. The article was entitled: ÒAdventures In ReligionÓ "Occupying six or more big lots on the corner of
Chelan and Ash streets you will find three big tents of the Rev. John G.
Lake. There were plenty of good seats last evening when he opened his
evangelistic campaign aided by a number of his ministers, a fine large choir,
a splendid trio of two violins, and piano, an organ, and a well-known blind
singer, Clarence Carlille, who sang with that sweet voice of his 'Nothing
Between.' It was a real old fashion camp meeting along salvation lines with
little sermons by the Rev. Eastman, Rev. Clos, and Rev. Lake." |
