The Image-Maker: Faith From The Unseen

“Even the darkness is not dark to You, and the night is as bright as the day.
Darkness and light are alike to You.
For You formed my inward parts, You wove me in my mother’s womb.
I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made!
Wonderful are Your works, and my soul knows it very well.”
Psalms 139:12-14 (NASB)

Yehovah has made us in His image. That He would do such a loving thing is incomparable to any aspect of religion. We are His heirs. Co-heirs with Christ Jesus. This is a most stunning fact.

We were made to have an “Image-Maker” on the inside of us. As we learn of our “juris-diction” and our superior authority as the “Ecclesia,” we must also understand that our Creator has equipped us with all that is needed to do what He has given us to do.

In the world, there is much evil, and the justice of heaven is unseen in many arenas. But there is an emerging Ecclesia that is positioning to see the manifestations of their prayers as “Thy Kingdom come! Thy will be done! On earth as it is in heaven!”

The Ecclesia is now positioned to “Change The World with Prayer:”

  • The Ecclesia of Christ is at the gates of heaven to announce the justice from the great halls of His courts.
  • The Ecclesia is the “elders at the gates” that are referred to in the scriptures at the place of judgment.
  • The Ecclesia is the authoritative legislation of heaven manifesting upon the earth.
  • An Ecclesia gathering is a courtroom assembly where intercession brings about liberty that is willed by God the Father, Who is the Great Judge of all through the testimony of Jesus Christ Who is the Just One.

In the beginning…
Elohim created all things. Yeshua/Jesus said, “Therefore I say to you, all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and they will be granted you.” Mark 11:24 (NASB) Our creator has placed His “Image-Maker” in us to have a creative starting point. A simple understanding of this is how an artist sees a picture before he puts in on a canvas for display. A sculptor does the same.

So, let us look at this “Image-Maker” that has come with us as standard equipment.

The captain of the hosts of the Lord said to Joshua, “See! I have given Jericho into your hand, its king, and the mighty men of valor!”

The intended action is to see and then proclaim, declare and decree! Let this be standard operating procedures for the intercessors of the counsel of the Ecclesia and intercessory prayer as we manifest the ministry of the Lord Jesus Christ upon the earth. Individually, we must also act in an authoritative way to halt the impact that evil has on our lives, our bodies and our finances.

Joshua was told to first “see.” Then, to take hold of the city. In our lives, we must first “see.” Then, we must take hold of the holy promises that the Holy Spirit has allowed us to see. We decree those righteous things that we take hold of by seeing them first, that is before they are manifested.

Consider how “faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not seen.” And, “by faith, we understand that the worlds were framed by the Word of God.” So, faith is the substance (seeing) without seeing, and it is comparative to creation.

Then consider how Yeshua/Jesus taught that we are to “have the faith of God. For truly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, be taken up and be thrown into the sea, and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will happen, it will be to him, whatever he says. Therefore I say to you, All things, whatever you ask, praying, believe that you will receive, and it will be to you.”

The Master’s explanation on how to apply this miraculous faith is populated with five important Greek words that can enhance our spiritual understanding allowing the Holy Spirit to direct our spirits in prayer.

First is, “All things” (Greek: πᾶς pas): has a referral to the Creator of all things. There is nothing left out when this word is used. Did Elohim create the satan? Yes. Did He create him to do evil? No. Did Elohim create our bodies to work in His image of health and correctness? Yes. Did He create the sickness that works to stop if from the heavenly life standards? No. With this word, Jesus is making it clear that everything that is not evil can be petitioned by a believer.

The second is, “ask” (Greek: αἰτέω aiteō): This word has the history of being more like a demand in the sense of placing something in action that demands response. Kind of like flipping the light switch on placed a demand upon the electrical generation plant. Once enacted there is a corresponding action. So, it becomes a demand for judgment.

The third is, “praying” (Greek: προσεύχομαι proseuchomai): This is the declarative decree kind of prayer.

The fourth is, “believing” (Greek: πιστεύω pisteuō): This word means, to entrust and comes from the word pistis meaning faith. The form of this word has critical movement. That is, there is “an entrust” with the picture of taking what you have and laying into the hands of another with a sense that there is no fear that you will be a loser.

The fifth is “receive” (Greek: λαμβάνω lambanō): This word comes from the basic sense of ‘taking hold of’ or ‘to take to oneself’ or ‘to collect’ or even ‘to seize.’ But it can also mean ‘to acquire’ or ‘to hold or grasp something or someone.’

To simplify all of this with the five steps Jesus reveals:

  • All things or all of creation are subject to the Creator
  • And when one of His children places a petition for creation to move on their behalf
  • And they stand and firmly decree that creation moves according to the petition placed in the Creator’s hand
  • And they see the results and entrust the movement of creation by the Creator’s authority
  • And they take hold of what they see as the result and they do not let go…

Then the child of God will enjoy the movement of creation on their behalf.

Therefore, it behooves us to bring our petitions unto the Father, by the Blood of His Son, and expect that He will cause heaven to move earth on our behalf. “Come! Kingdom of God. Be done! Will of God. On earth, as it is in heaven!”
