You have, no doubt, heard it said that there is a little bit of truth in the lies that the devil speaks. Well, according to Jesus, that is just not true. Jesus said, “he is the father of lies, and the truth is not in him.” I think you can take that at face value and know that truth does not partner with a lie at all. And lies originate from the devil.

A lie is a very spiritual thing. Because our words have supernatural strength, there is a need for us to both recognize who we are and the creative authority that we have inside us. We ought to also learn how we are to exercise that authority according to the laws of the Lord, (“the law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus…”). We, therefore, make a difference in this world.

Someone who tells the least of a lie surrenders their heavenly Father’s authority, which He has given them. Only an orphan would leave the inherited authority of their father for the authority of another father. Remember that, from the above truth Jesus said that satan is the “father of lies.”

Believing a lie has a completely different consequence than speaking a lie. If there is never any truth, (even in the most minute sense), in that which evil speaks against us then when we believe a lie we willfully align ourselves with evil instead of good – the satan instead of God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Accepting the lie nullifies your “child of God” authority that can decree justice.

Let us also remember that the evil one is the accuser of the brethren and the father of lies. When you speak an accusation without giving proper justice to a person you empower the father of lies in your life.

When someone else speaks an accusation against someone, there is still a legal requirement for you to believe or even hear that accusation. If we want justice to work in our lives, then we must honor justice in all ways. If we receive an accusation without the person accused being present, we have acted unjustly, and it will have effects in your life.

I have had many people come to me to receive the divine healing touch, whom I have perceived, do not receive that healing which they desire because they have listened to accusations and believed the accuser and, therefore, halted the powerful flow of justice into their body and life. You see, divine healing is not magic. It is the work of justice on the part of a loving God.

When someone is not mature enough to be silent about others and then make excuses as to why they would dare accuse without justice, there is no place for Kingdom life to flourish in or with them.

Many people who are active in the communities of believers will act like orphans and lie about others. Many will accuse others because their very identity as a person is somehow threatened. Many will build a case against others who don’t even know of what they are accused.

If someone accuses me in my presence of something that I actually did wrong, then as a lover of justice I can repent, apologize and make restitutions. If that same person accuses me when I am not present, then there can be no justice for either me or them or those who would believe their accusations.

Most of the time, a true accusation will have a “spin” added to it that will cause it to be a lie. Without the presence of the accused, there is no opportunity for truth to be known and justice is halted.

I find that far too many pastors will receive a person from another church and believe their false accusations about that church from which they come. I’m pretty sure that this is because they actually want these accusations to be true. There is an identity crisis herein. The pastor who receives and accusation about another church without a representation of the accused in his presence has left all forms of justice and is playing in the devil’s game. The excuse that “I’ve heard this about that church before,” is no reason to believe the accuser and no reason to not yield to justice instead of the egotistical idea that this new pastor/church will be better than the former.

“Some soldiers were questioning him, saying, ‘And what about us, what shall we do?’ And he said to them, ‘Do not take money from anyone by force, or accuse anyone falsely, and be content with your wages.’” (Luke 3:14 NASB)

I think that Jesus spoke clearly to these soldiers about false accusations. I have experienced people accusing others for their own selfish gain. I’ve listened to husbands accuse their wives, and wives accuse their husbands, etc., etc.. All want me and others to see that they aren’t getting what they want and the other person is to blame.

Jesus said to the accusations of the Jewish leaders, “Do not think that I will accuse you before the Father; the one who accuses you is Moses, in whom you have set your hope. For if you believed Moses, you would believe Me, for he wrote about Me. But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe My words?” (John 5:45-47 NASB)

Jesus gives us the proper response and how we are to respond to the accusations levied against us. Please remember that you have never suffered, from the actions of anyone, what the Lord Jesus suffered. You were not beaten beyond recognition. You have not been mistreated physically, spiritually, or emotionally, in either the manner or the extent that Jesus was mistreated. You have not shed your blood innocently for others. Yeshua (Jesus) did.

What was his response to this mistreatment? Did He ever once complain? To the Father or anyone? The answer is no. And, it is enough for you to be as your Teacher. “He was led like a lamb to the slaughter.” To develop this character as a follower of Jesus Christ is to come into a knowledge of heavenly redemption on your behalf. Must I speak of the martyrs of faith that have gone before us?

In Acts 24 & 25, there is quite a bit of rhetoric about the false accusations of Jews that wanted the apostle Paul to die. Their accusations are lies. The law of God which they served condemns them for those lies. Yet, they still lied. So, they live by a rule of the evil one that says, “the end justifies the means.” This is a demonic lie and does not pertain to any righteousness.

Then I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, “Now the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of our God and the authority of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren has been thrown down, he who accuses them before our God day and night. And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even when faced with death.” (Revelation 12:10-11 NASB) Accusers have no place in the operations of the Kingdom of God.

One of the most powerful acts of justice I know was when the woman “caught in the very act” of adultery was brought into a public place where Jesus was asked to preside over her condemnation. When Jesus judged with the power of mercy in justice, not only was the accused (who was obviously guilty as charged) set free but so were her accusers set free from their sins. This is the power of justice, and this is the application of justice with mercy that Christ believers ought to apply in every region.

Now, when receiving accusations from someone you do not believe could lie, but the one being accused is not present, you will still nullify the power of justice in your own life.

I’ve experienced quite a number of people who want to believe the accuser, but not being acquainted with justice, commit a sin against the accused because they believe the accuser without testimony from the accused. They just want to believe the accuser. These will tend to stew over the issues, and I’ve even known them to go to the accused to reprove them or even “pray against” the accused as if it is the word of the Lord in condemnation of the accused’s behavior. This they do without even hearing the testimony of the accused. This is a shameful thing in the body of Christ.

Imagine if you were accused of something by someone and a Church leader who believed the accuser came to you in the guise of “the Lord told them” to reprove you for something that you didn’t even do? It happens. Believe me, it happens. What this says is that justice cannot prevail when you take such a position.

Some hold to their “gift of discernment” to lead them to this injustice against the accused. Do you understand that I’m saying that if you have such disregard for justice that you will not be able to operate in the power of that justice? You are demolishing any “discernment” that there might be by your lack of justice. (Not to mention that this is a gross abuse of a Holy Spirit gift.)

If we do not hold justice as sacred in these ways, (this is certainly not an exhaustive list of unjust ways), how then can we expect to use the power of justice in our prayer life to set the captives free?

In other words, if we disregard justice toward others, we will not be able to experience justice in our own lives or our families and loved ones.

Jesus said, “judge not lest you be also judged…” and from this, we know that as we hold justice as holy in every situation, we will also have justice upon which we can rely. In context, Yeshua is using the word “judge” as the act of inordinate judgment and unjust condemnation. This is precisely what I’m talking about in this article.

If you are to have any God-given authority from the courts of heaven, then your justice needs to be pure and undefiled.

Do not receive a false judgment that comes against you and do not falsely judge anyone.
